Keep the content natural while still emphasizing on your targeted keywords. 2) Using the right Page Title ? Using the right page title is one of the key factors in deciding rankings of your web site/ web page. It should be kept within 65 characters or less for best results. 3) Page Content ? Content plays important role for search engine rankings of your website. Content should be neatly placed without making it too flashy and using too much JavaScript, otherwise it would be hard for search engines to crawl through your content. Make your content easy to read to both your visitors and search engines. 4) Avoid ALT tag spamming ? Don?t use alt tag with unrelated text. e) Use Meta Tags wisely ? Main meta tags include <title>,<keywords> & < description>. Avoid stuffing unrelated keywords and data in these tags. jigneshgohel Ahmadabad, IN Post #: 1	Hello Devang, Nice tips for Newbies but i would like to add only one thing that never go for keyword stuffing. as i have seen that many sites having bunch of keywords which have no meaning at all. this will boost your ranking rapidly but it will be difficult to maintain it. I have never go for keyword density more than 8% weather keywords are more competitive or less. and i achive good ranking for many keywords having competition more than 60 million. It is important to place your keywords in main places on the pages such as title, meta, headers, and within the top few and last few words on the page. As for linking, it is important to get quality links and not just quantity. Bad neighborhoods can hurt you more just as much as good sites linking to you can help. So stay away from link farms. Also ensure that you use your keywords to have the sites link to you from. Great information Devang. We do not look at PR but only SERP's Most of the people do not know how to look upon keywords with Power. Not just traffic but profitable keywords. At times it is much easier to gain top positions and earn maximum in smaller searhced keywords. Try smaller keywords with relevance. Try keywords that are searched world wide rather just Geo Specific first. Try understanding basic steps and write them down. Try concentrating on placement of keywords. Understand the server technology. Understand Keyword density. Make sure you are writing User Friendly articles and not search engine friendly articles / text. Make sure you are using same keywords in articles and meta tags. Don't overdo it. You should know what are validations or HTML. Make sure your site does not take too much time to load. Make sure you don' invite all links to one page of your website. All this and more ...... Just remember to keep a note on what you do, SEO / SEM is a very vast field. To be a Guru in SEO / SEM all you need to do is keep reading and searching for more and more information.
