DRIVING GOAL-DRIVEN WEB TRAFFIC W/SEM
============================
(SEM = Search Engine Marketing)
============================
This meeting will be a joint meeting with Atlanta Web Entrepreneurs.
DO NOT RSVP HERE. RSVPs will be at:
This month we have an incredible group of six (6) diverse Search Engine Marketing (SEM) professionals including both consultants and practitioners. We've put lots of work into preparing for this meeting and we're really proud of the levels of expertise we'll have presenting to us and taking our questions on this coming Thursday, October 18th.
We are also going to try yet another slightly different format this month. We'll try an hour of tightly scheduled mini-presentations followed by an hour of open Q&A for the panel of presenters. As such, we'll ask attendees to hold their questions until the end of the 2nd half so be sure to bring your notepads and pens to capture questions in the first hour for asking during the second.
The five (5) mini-presentations from our presenters will be:
-- 6 Steps for SEM Success
-- Account Strategies for optimal SEM results
-- Using Research and SEM to dominate your market
-- Basics of Testing SEM Campaigns for enhanced ROI
-- Using Web Analytics to measure SEM success
The five (5) presenters/panelists for the above topics are, respectively:
-- Liz Jacobson is the Online Marketing Specialist for AutomationDirect.com in Cumming, Georgia and has managed search engine marketing for the past 5 years.
-- Debbie Griffyn, a former real estate broker and financial planner has been manager of operations for MLS.com for several years and uses a database of several million SEM keywords to drive millions in annual sales.
-- Charles Lumpkin is Cofounder and Chief Strategist and handles market R&D and Internet marketing for Cornerstone Leads. His SEM work has generated $250+ million for Home Depot, Ballard Designs, Brinks Home Security, and others.
-- Wei Yang is Senior Interactive Media Planner of BKV, the southeast's largest interactive direct response agency where he manages large SEM campaigns and implements testing strategies for ensure ROI.
-- Stacy Williams founded Prominent Placement in 2001 as its CEO, speaks nationally about search marketing, managed web projects for ad agency clients for a decade, and was finalist for Georgia Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
Our moderator for the evening will be Jason Gorham who is founder and CEO of CareerMetaSearch.com, a company that highly leverages SEM to help companies recruit by converting currently employed individuals into highly qualified applicants.
Our agenda for the evening will be tightly scheduled as follows:
6:15pm - Early Registration (for those not prepaid)
6:45pm - Networking
7:00pm - Meeting opens
7:05pm - Group News & Announcements
7:10pm - Introduction to SEM
7:15pm - Five (5) Mini SEM Presentations
8:05pm - Break
8:10pm - Open Q&A
8:55pm - Closing Comments
9:00pm - Networking (Optional)
9:30pm - Drinks/Dinner at Gordon Biersch
Note that given the format we'll be ending 30 minutes later than normally scheduled to allow for networking, but will still "close" the meeting at the same time as normal (9pm.) At 9:30pm we'll close the facility and those interested can head over to Gordon Biersch on Peachtree for drinks and/or dinner.
Thanks to everyone who has committed to moderate/present as well as the others who've helped put this event together. We look forward to a great event and I look forward to seeing everyone there!

P.S. IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND please RSVP ASAP as this event looks like it may "sell out" where 100 people will be our maximum. If we do get more than 100 'yes' RSVPs and you are not on the RSVP list you'll be turned away. We'll put anyone after the first 100 on the waiting list; you can show up but we'll have to limit to the first 100 to RSVP otherwise the fire marshal will have our throats. :-) We'll start clearing the waiting list at 6:45pm.
And IF YOU DO RSVP 'yes' please commit to attend and arrive no later than 6:45pm.
